what we do

The OC Bridges program operates with the goal of helping our participants find and develop a passion. Our plan is to expand on this passion, to form employable skillsets for an purposeful life. After all if you love what you do, you'll never work another day in your life. Secondly, we work in conjunction with the families, guardians, counselors, etc. to ensure we are simply a supplement to the existing support system. Our goal is to fully merge the gap between effort and success with various experiential skillsets.

Below are some common Skillsets that may be outlined in your participants curriculum:

  • Self-help (Menu Planning, Grocery Shopping, Laundry, Household maintenance)

  • Personal Development (Fitness, Hygiene, Confidence skills)

  • Vocational development (Hard and Soft employable skills)

  • Community integration as determined by the individuals needs and goals

  • Adapted communication methods

  • Purchase skills training

  • Mobility training

  • Social behavior training

  • Community safety

  • Individuals may also attend college classes on integrated campuses

  • Custom skill training to streamline school-to-program transitions

In conjunction with natural passion and effort our behavior support services are based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), which is the most extensively researched and empirically proven method for treating challenging behaviors.

In addition with the behavioral training program, each individual receives supportive skill development in various areas that may be seen as a benefit to their growth towards their goals. This means that no two bridges are the same, every individual will have the opportunity to have a custom tailored bridge which will allow them to ultimately reach THEIR version of success.

Supportive skill development may include:
